Aquinas Institute of Philosophy

I am grateful for the opportunities and experiences I had at my alma mater, Aquinas institute of philosophy. I received a holistic formation in spiritual, human, emotional, and pastoral dimensions. This formation has profoundly shaped the person I am today. It continues to guide my thoughts and actions. It has influenced both my personal and professional aspects, and continues to do so. Aquinas College laid a strong foundation. It still inspires me to live with purpose and conviction.

As I ruminate on the years I spent at Aquinas institute of Philosophy , within the walls of my Alma Mater. I am thrilled with nostalgia and regards for the profound impact it made in my life. The Alma Mater is not only a formation house, but it’s a home and an institution of learning not by rote, but by means of assimilation of ideas. That’s why the curriculums go in activity learning. The Aquinas Institute of Philosophy has qualified faculties, with digital class rooms and library, indeed it is an ambience of learning. I love my Alma Mater, Aquinas Institute of Philosophy.

My life as a philosophy student at Aquinas College was both deeply transformative and memorable. It was not merely a place of academic pursuit but a space where opportunities flourished to explore and expand our talents. Learning was never confined to philosophical classes; it extended well beyond the classroom into cultural activities, sports, and community engagement. The structured routine included time for prayer and spiritual practices, nurturing both discipline and inner growth. The beauty of the campus-with its peaceful surroundings and lush green spaces-created an atmosphere of calm and inspiration. Our professors were not only experts in their fields but also warm, approachable mentors who guided us with care and wisdom. The student community was a vibrant blend of individuals from various parts of India, fostering rich intercultural dialogue and lifelong friendships. Festivals, discussions, and collaborative events allowed us to celebrate diversity while deepening our understanding of philosophical thought and cultural traditions. This holistic environment played a key role in shaping my character and worldview. Aquinas College gave me not only a strong foundation in philosophy but also unforgettable experiences and life lessons that continue to guide my journey.

My alma mater, Aquinas College, located at Gopalpur-on-Sea, functioned as a philosophate, providing an environment for intellectual formation where rational inquiry intersects with spiritual tenets. I acquired philosophical knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of existence informed by truth within its academic framework. The guidance provided by erudite mentors and the pervasive spirit of contemplation profoundly influenced my intellectual faculties and spiritual disposition. This institution cultivated within me a discerning intellect and a profound attunement to transcendent realities. I remain profoundly grateful for the rigorous philosophical foundation imparted by this esteemed institution. This educational grounding served as a prerequisite for my advanced studies in philosophy at the Institut Catholique de Toulouse, France, and in English Literature at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, my master's Degree in English Literature at Madras University and B. Ed . from Loyola College of Education, South Sikkim, Namchi. Subsequently, I was employed as an instructor of philosophy and literature at the Holy Name of Mary Seminary in the Solomon Islands from 2015 to 2017. I briefly taught basic English in Vietnam. I served as Dean of Studies in my alma mater, Aquinas College, from 2017 to 2022.
